It’s that time of year again–ISTELive 22 is just around the corner, and this year, the nation’s largest edtech show takes place in New Orleans.

Focusing on empowering educators and elevating equity, ISTELive features in-person content live and streamed from the conference, along with online content from remote presenters.

Sessions include focuses on blended learning, curating classroom resources, using augmented reality, project-based learning, building student media literacy, time-saving tech tricks from librarians, using digital tools with students who have special needs, digital problem-solving, and more.

Monday’s mainstage speaker will be announced soon. On Tuesday, attendees can hear from ISTE’s Madelyn Mock discuss the growing need for collaboration in education and how educators can look at education from a variety of lenses and all-encompassing perspectives that can deliver new learning to students.

Here are some of the ISTELive 22 sessions that we want to check out in New Orleans–and stay tuned for exclusive eSchool News coverage from the conference:

Improve failures, completion and grades with gamification:In this experimental study, we demonstrate that a gamified course overlay can improve failures, completion and grades — even for lower-performing teachers. The tools developed for this study draw on principles of behavioral economics, motivation theory and learning cognition theory to help students want to improve and connect with teachers.
