UTME & Direct Entry Requirements For Entrepreneurship
We have provided you with all the information required to successfully apply for this course in any higher institution. If you can meet the required prerequisites, then you are qualified to proceed with your UTME/Direct Entry registration. Below are the requirements for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.
O’Level Subjects & Requirements For Entrepreneurship
As a UTME candidate, there are certain O’Level requirements that you are required to meet to be qualified to study Entrepreneurship. All UMTE candidates are required to have at least five (5) SSC credit passes which must include:
1). English Language.
2). Mathematics.
3). Economics.
4). One (1) Science subject.
5). One other Social Science or Commercial subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR UNIVERSITIES
1). UNIBEN requires at least five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings to include Mathematics, English Language, Commerce or Economics, and any other two (2) subjects.
2). UMUDIKE requires the same as in Accounting.
3). PAUL requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes which must include Mathematics, English Language in addition to any two (2) of Accounting, Business Method, Commerce, Government, Geography, and Statistics.
JAMB Subject Combination for Entrepreneurship
UTME candidates who want to study Entrepreneurship should be prepared to meet four (4) subjects in their JAMB UTME examination. The four (4) JAMB UTME subjects that they are going to meet include the following:
1). Economics.
2). Mathematics.
3). English Language (Compulsory For All Courses).
4). And one other Social Science or Commercial subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR UNIVERSITIES
1). UMUDIKE requires the Same as in Accounting.
2). UNIBEN accepts Mathematics, Commerce, Economics, or Business Methods in addition to any other subject.
Direct Entry Admission Requirements For Entrepreneurship
Candidates who don’t want to apply for Entrepreneurship using UTME should ensure they meet with the requirements Direct Entry Admission requirements for Entrepreneurship listed below:
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include Economics and at least one (1) of Accounts, Government, Business Management, Mathematics, or Geography.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR UNIVERSITIES
1). PAUL accepts two (2) ‘A’ level passes taken from any of Accounts, Economics, Government, Business Management, Statistics, or Geography.
2). UMUDIKE requires the Same as in Accounting.
3). ABUAD requires ‘A’ level passes in Accounting and at least one in Business Management, Mathematics, Government, and Economics in addition to the UTME requirements. It accepts ND (upper credit) in Business Administration. It does NOT accept NCE.
4). JABU requires the same as Demography.
5). UNIBEN :
a). In addition to the UTME requirements accepts two (2) ‘A’ levels, one of which should be Business Method /Management and either Accounting or Economics.
b). In exceptional cases, the following qualifications may be considered:
i). In addition to the UTME requirements, they accept a pass in the intermediate examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or of any other equivalent Professional Accounting Body.
ii). They accept passes in all parts of the Associate Examination of the Institute of Bankers
iii). They also accept ND(upper credit pass) in Business Administration from recognized Polytechnic or College of Technology.
iv). HND in any relevant program awarded by a recognized College of Technology or Polytechnic.
v). A Bachelor’s degree in any subject awarded by a recognized University.

O’Level UTME Subjects and Requirements
The schools listed above require the following O’Level (NECO, GCE, WAEC) subjects required to study Entrepreneurship. Candidates are expected to have at least five (5) SSC credit passes including:
1). Mathematics.
2). Economics.
3). English Language.
4). One Science subject.
5). One (1) other Social Science or Commercial subject.
JAMB UTME Subject combination
UTME candidates should be informed that English Language is a compulsory subject for this course. The remaining three (3) JAMB subjects required by the Universities listed above to study Entrepreneurship are:

Direct Entry Admission Requirement
Direct Entry candidates are required to meet the following requirements to be qualified to study Entrepreneurship in the Universities listed above. Candidates applying through Direct Entry require:
