1). FED-WUKARI requires at least five (5) O’ level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings. The subjects must include Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and any one (1) of Economics, Physics, Geography.
2). UNICAL requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes at one (1) sitting or six (6) ‘O’ level credit passes at two (2) sittings which must include Biology/Agric Science, English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and any one (1) of Geography, Economics, and Physics.
3). FUNAAB requires the following:
i). Credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.
ii). At least an ‘O’ level pass in Physics.
iii). Candidates with an ‘O’ level pass in Biology must also possess an ‘O’ level credit pass in Agricultural Science.
iv). Does not accept Agricultural Science in place of Biology.
JAMB Subject Combination For Forestry and Wildlife Management
First of all, UTME candidates should note that English Language is compulsory for Forestry and Wildlife Management. Below are the four (4) JAMB UTME subject combinations required to study Forestry And Wildlife Management which is under the Faculty of Agriculture in the Universities listed below:
1). English Language (Compulsory For All Course).
2). Biology or Agriculture.
3). Chemistry.
4). And Mathematics or Physics.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR UNIVERSITIES
1). MAUTECH requires Biology/Agricultural Science and any other two (2) forms of Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics, and Economics.
2). UNIILORIN requires Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, and Physics/ Mathematics.
3). ILORIN accepts Geography in place of Physics or Mathematics.
Direct Entry Admission Requirements
If you are applying through Direct Entry, then you should ensure that you can meet the following direct entry admission requirements needed to successfully apply for admission to apply for Forestry And Wildlife Management.
- Two (2) ’A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology or Agric Science or Zoology or Botany.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR UNIVERSITIES
1). UNICAL accepts NCE/ND/HND in Agric. Wildlife, Forestry, or Fisheries Management from any recognized institutions.
2). UNICAL requires two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Agriculture or Biology.
3). FUNAAB accepts the following;
i). Two (2) ‘ A’ level credit passes in Chemistry and one of Zoology/Agricultural Science/Botany/Biology, Physics, or Mathematics.
ii). ND/HND (upper credit) in Agriculture from any recognized institution in any one (1) of Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics, Fisheries, Agricultural Technology, Forestry and Wildlife Management in addition to the UTME requirements.
iii). NCE credit in Biology, Agricultural Science, Physics, or Chemistry in addition to the UTME requirements.
4). MAUTECH accepts ND Distinction in Agriculture and HND in Agriculture at credit level. It does not accept NCE.
5). ABU accepts the following:
i). ND in Forestry Technology Management with a Distinction or overall upper credit.
ii). HND in Forestry Technology/Science/Management with an overall credit pass.
6). UNIILORIN accepts the following:
i). ND (Forestry/Wildlife) or related program with a minimum of lower credit from any recognized institutions for admission consideration into 100 levels.
ii). HND (Forestry/Wildlife) or related program with a minimum of lower credit.
iii). NCE Agriculture double major at credit level.
