The cause of death of the former ruler of Britain, Queen Elizabeth II has been revealed. According to her death certificate, it was stated that the monarch died of old age.
Queen Elizabeth II died, aged 96, at Balmoral surrounded by members of the royal family earlier this month.
The document, published by National Records of Scotland on Thursday, records that the late monarch died at 3.10 pm on September 8 at Balmoral Castle in Ballater.
The cause of death is listed as old age. The document is signed by the Princess Royal. News of Her Majesty’s death was announced in a statement on behalf of the Royal Family.
The statement read:
“The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.â€
