Thai agent association TIECA and Quality English have agreed to further strengthen their relationship to support more students from the Southeast Asian country to access study opportunities overseas.

More than 70 agent members of the association in Thailand will collaborate with QE’s almost 60 English language schools in seven countries around the world.

The partners are planning various future joint initiatives including face-to-face and online events.

“On behalf of TIECA, it is my pleasure to commence the agreement with Quality English in order to strengthen our relationship,” TIECA president, Seth Rutrakool, said in a statement.

“As TIECA’s aim to support foreign institutions to successfully promote themselves to Thai prospects, I am certain that such agreement is a perfect combination that will definitely benefit us both.”

Chief executive of QE Jonathan Swindell added that the organisation looks forward to working the ITECA’s management team “over the coming months and years”.

“We are thrilled to sign this agreement with TIECA that will help to showcase QE schools throughout Thailand and in particular to TIECA’s network of accredited agents,” he said.

“TIECA works hard to train their members to ensure they meet their high standards which will help to build trust and reassurance for our schools.”

Thailand is an important market for schools, Swindell told The PIE.

“The number of Thai students travelling to study in Canada has increased”

“Traditionally, it has been a good market for our schools in the UK and Australia but the number of Thai students travelling to study in Canada has increased. USA is also a popular destination,” he noted.

The new collaboration seeks to raise awareness of the QE brand in Thailand and “encourage more Thai students to study at our schools all over the world”, he continued.

Although this marks the first official MoU between the organisations, they have work together as members of other organisations, such as GAELA and FELCA.

“We look forward to a prosperous and mutually beneficial relationship between our two organisations,” Swindell added.
