Some thugs broke into the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Surulere, Lagos, and stole the computers that INEC officials were using to register PVCs.
When people fled for safety, the church’s parish priest locked it up as of the time this report was filled out.
An anonymous local told Vanguard that the thugs barged into the polling place and told people they wouldn’t be allowed to register because they wouldn’t support their (the thugs’) candidate.
He they destroyed INEC materials and carted away some registration items.
He added that the police have been mobilised to the area to prevent further breakdown of law and order.
