To stand the chance of being admitted into any Nigerian institution offering admission to study Electrical and Computer Engineering, ensure the O’level requirement. There are five (5) compulsory O’Level subjects for this course. You must ensure you have a credit pass in all five (5) subjects. If you don’t intend to apply for admission into any higher institution with UTME, then you must satisfy the Electrical and Computer Engineering requirements for direct entry which are below:
1). ‘A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics.
2). ND upper credit /HND Upper/Lower credit in Elect Eng.
WAIVER / SPECIAL CONSIDERATION
1). LASU accepts ND/HND upper credit which must be in a relevant program for a 4 years program.
2). ABU requires:
i). ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in Physics and Mathematics.
ii). ND/HND upper/lower credit in Electrical Engineering with distinction in Mathematics respectively.
3). UNIPORT (University of Port-Harcourt, River State ) – No Direct Entry.
4). UNIABUJA accepts ND upper credit or HND lower credit in Electrical Engineering from accredited institutions in addition to UTME requirements into 200 level.
5). FUTMINNA accepts ND/HND lower credit in relevant programs in addition to 5 O’Level credit passes in Use of English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and one other science subject.
