The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released a date for the commencement of the 2023 school-based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
According to WAEC, the examination will start on Monday, May 8th.
This announcement was made by the Head of National Office, Patrick Areghan, at a pre-examination press conference on Thursday in Lagos State.
The exams are scheduled to conclude on Friday, June 23rd, giving candidates a seven-week period to demonstrate their academic prowess.
A total of 1,621,853 candidates across 20,851 government and private schools have registered for the examination, according to Areghan.
