The Osun State House of Assembly has reportedly summoned the State’s Auditor General, Adesina Folorunso over the alleged indictment of the Bursar, Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, Dr. Olarewaju Oyedeji.

The legislators, it was gathered, summoned the Auditor General for allegedly violating an existing order regarding the state of affairs of the Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun.

NAIJALOADED gathered that the House Committee on Public Accounts had during its meeting with the College management and the Auditor General warned the two parties against public discussion on the state of affairs of the College.

The meeting also dwelt on how to allow for peaceful resolution of all pending issues in the institution.

However, in a recent statement where he indicted the College Bursar, Rasheed Olanrewaju Oyedeji of allegedly misappropriating over N142 million, the Auditor General contravened the directive of the House.

He has now been summoned to appear before the House Committee on Public Accounts on Monday.

The audit report of the firm showed that the Bursar was also commended for his diligent efforts at sanitising the College.

The Provost of the institution, Prof Jimoh Afolabi has also called on the State House of Assembly to expedite action on its report on the College.

He disclosed that the House Committee on Public Accounts had in January met with the management of the College and the Auditor General with a view to investigating the financial transactions of the College.

NAIJALOADED had reported that the Osun Auditor General had given the College Bursar a 21-day ultimatum to produce the misappropriated funds or face the full weight of the law.
