Wellspring International Education and ISP Eduworld have agreed a partnership that they say will bring “more diversity and better access” to student cohorts at US universities.

Graduates of Australia-based ISP’s Global Freshman Certificate will have access to Wellspring’s network of US universities, the companies have said.

ISP’s Closed Loop Recruitment creates a “global pool of qualified, ready-for-admission students” that have already completed the certificate program at UK online institution Arden University.

Successful graduates of the program can then go on to enrol in one of the 150 universities worldwide involved in the Closed Loop program.

The exclusive Closed Loop USA program will be built and managed by Wellspring and will initially include 25 institutions.

The Closed Loop Recruitment process “enables students from all around the world to access entry to our growing network of university partners from the comfort of their own homes for their first year”, Greg Shrader, CEO of Wellspring International, noted.

“Once they have their certificates, they can choose among our current list of partner universities in the US and transfer to a US university to finish their undergraduate education.”

The program means transfer students from both developed and developing nations will “be better able to access the world-class education that our member schools can provide”, the companies stated. Member schools will benefit from “a far more diverse and interesting pool of international transfer students”.

“We wanted a partner that was strategically savvy and aware”

The network will feature 25 US institutions at first, but will continue to grow until it includes 60 US schools in total, Shrader added.

“Wellspring ticked the four prime criteria that we assessed for our partner in the US,” Mark Skinner, ISP Eduworld’s co-founder, director, and chairman, explained.

“We wanted a partner that was strategically savvy and aware; structured with experienced and quality people; respected by its partner universities; and known for longevity of operational successful delivery of educational recruitment services.

“Wellspring stood out in all those aspects, and we could not be more pleased with our relationship for the development and expansion of Closed Loop Recruitment in the US.”
