The management of Godfrey Okoye University, GO-UNI, Enugu has warned staff and students against wearing shorts to work and lectures.
GO-UNI also placed a ban on fixing fingernails, eyelashes, and other artificial materials on the body.
The Vice-Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu-owned university, Rev. Prof Christian Anieke, announced the directives while addressing staff and students of the institutions.
Anieke also warned staff and students against wearing tights and other materials that expose sensitive parts of their bodies.
The Vice-Chancellor warned that such an act distracts other members of the university.
Anieke stressed that only black and brown hair would be allowed on campus, adding that staff and students have one month to adjust to the new rules or be disciplined.
He also stated that students are expected to wear their faculty uniforms from Tuesdays to Fridays.
Anieke warned that the exchange of pornographic materials is taboo in the institution, adding that students should jettison the issue of plagiarism.
