The Oyo State Command of the Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN), popularly known as Amotekun Corps has nabbed a motorcycle mechanic, Shittu Ibrahim for stealing bikes while promising not to be involved in any crime again.
The security operatives had apprehended the suspect with three intact motorcycles and three others dismantled, with parts sold as scrap at Okeho town in the Oke Ogun area of Oyo State.
Kazeem Akinro, the State deputy commandant of Amotekun, in a chat with Tribune, disclosed that the security agency was informed of Ibrahim’s notoriety in stealing motorcycles.
Akinro said, “Ibrahim usually removed motorcycles from where they were parked. Since then, we have been on the lookout for him, with the belief that we would catch him.
“He was eventually and three bikes were found with him. Also found were parts of those already dismantled. One of the bikes recovered was used in tracking him and the owners came to confirm it through the presentation of valid documents.â€
