The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Kaduna State, on Tuesday, commenced the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions
The candidates joined over 1.6 million registered candidates who will be sitting for UTME from Tuesday, April 25, 2023 – May 3, 2023 in some selected Computer Based Centres across the country.
In Kaduna, it was observed on Tuesday, that candidates sat for their UTME examination at the designated centres across the state based on the time indicated on their printout.
In most centres across the state; DIC Computer Centres, Christ Ambassador Schools, National Computer Centres, candidates arrived earlier before time as they sat for their UTME without hitches.
One of the examination monitors, James Alamu, said there were no technical hitches as the network was perfect.
One of the candidates, Hannah Joshua said at his centre, DIC Computer Centre, had three sessions, the first session started at 7:00a.m and students arrived at 6:30am. The second session started at 9:00a.m, while the third session started at 11:00 a.m.
He said although some candidates who could not easily locate the venue, came exactly a few minutes before the commencement of the examination.
Also, another candidate, Alhi Musa, whose centre was Kaduna Resources centre said, “As you can see, the examination is going on unhindered, 200 candidates were expected to sit for the first session, although some were absent, while others could not be verified.”
