A non-governmental organisation, JRO Foundation, has donated books and writing materials to over 500 secondary school pupils drawn from Telemu Community in Osun State.
The Foundation also organised a free health sensitisation programme for the aged and widows.
Speaking about the initiative, the founder of the Foundation, Dr Ronke Oluwoye and her husband Prof. Jacob Oluwoye reiterated the commitment of the NGO to providing financial support to school children and youth in selected rural communities.
“Part of our programmes is to award scholarships to secondary school students from different communities,” they said.
JRO Foundation is non-profit organization committed to the development of rural communities. It is dedicated to providing positive encouragement and initiatives with clear expectations and feedbacks allowing rural children and youth to gain confidence and preparation for higher education.
