The Honourable Minister of State for Education, Goodluck Nanah Opiah has said he would be committed to making the education sector better using the resources at the disposal of his office.
Opiah, a former Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly stated this at the Presidential Villa, Abuja after he was sworn in as Minister of State for Education alongside six of his colleagues.
He said, having sworn an oath to serve the country as a Minister, he will join other colleagues to build on the existing standards as well as established modalities for growth in the system.

Speaking on President Muhammadu Buhari’s charge to them at the swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday, the Minister said, he will hit the ground running immediately to key into areas of importance in the ministry.
“President Buhari has informed us we have much to do and how to go about it, hence I am turbocharged to move into action.
“There are key areas that will be of importance in line with the desire President Buhari administration.
“I promise to deliver using all resources available. I am delighted to be given the opportunity to serve our people under the administration of our dear President Buhari,” he added.
Opiah applauded President Buhari for the honour done to him as well as governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State for his unalloyed support.
The new minister formerly represented Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency of Imo State in the National Assembly and Commissioner for Petroleum, Imo State before his appointment as Minister.
