The Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Nasarawa Eggon Local Government of Nasarawa State, CSP Haruna Abdulmalik, has been kidnapped by gunmen.
According to information obtained by DAILY POST, the DPO was abducted on Thursday while on patrol near Nasarawa Eggon Akwanga Road.
According to reports, the kidnappers have gotten in touch with the victim’s family and demanded a N5 million ransom.
Efforts by DAILY POST to reach the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Asp Ramhan Nansel proved abortive of press time.
However, the Deputy Chairman of the ocal government area, Benjamin Kuze confirmed the incident to Vanguard.
