Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC has deployed 600 personnel for the Eid- el-Fitr celebrations in the state.
This was disclosed by the Commandant, Muhammad Bello Muazu, in a press statement signed and issued by the State command’s spokesman, Ikor Oche.
He charged the over 600 combat-ready officers and men deployed for the Sallah celebrations to work within the ambit of operational order and the Acts of the Corps.
The Commandant opined that the Corps is built on ethics and professionalism, urging all personnel to be professional and maintain good working ethics as stipulated in the standard operating procedures of the Corps.
Mu’azu emphasized that all nooks and crannies including bus stops and motor parks must be manned effectively during and after the celebrations.
The State NSCDC boss warned the Anti-vandal unit of the Corps to ensure complete surveillance of all critical infrastructure and national assets to forestall any form of sabotage during the celebrations.
He then congratulated the Muslim faithful for a successful fast in the holy month of Ramadan, urging them to use the gains obtained during the holy month of Ramadan to show love to mankind.
The Commandant assured all and sundry of adequate security coverage during and after the celebrations in conjunction with other sister agencies.
Meanwhile, Muazu has warned all hoodlums and miscreants who intend to brew any form of rancour or sabotage during the celebration to relocate from the state.
Mu’azu maintained that the Corps and other sister agencies are ready to deal decisively with such elements using the extant laws of the federation.
