Before we proceed in providing you with the various guidelines that will allow you successfully gain admission into any University offering Microbiology & Brewing, we would like to first inform you that this course is only for Science students. This simply means that art students wouldn’t be admitted to study Microbiology & Brewing.

WAEC subject combination for Applied Microbiology and Brewing

Just like it is required in other courses before you will be able to study Applied Microbiology and Brewing, you must first ensure that you have not less than 5 credits passed your SSCE (comprises of WAEC, NECO, GCE) examination. Below are the various subject combination for Applied Microbiology and brewing:

  1. Chemistry
  2. Biology/Health Science
  3. Use of English Language
  4. Physics
  5. Mathematics

JAMB Subject combination for Applied Microbiology and Brewing

Before we list out the three JAMB subject combination for studying Applied Microbiology and Brewing, we will like to remind you that the JAMB and University cut-off mark for this course is 180 but it will be better if you score up to 200 and above to stand a better chance of being admitted. Below is the JAMB Subject combination for Applied Microbiology and Brewing:

  1. Biology
  2. Chemistry
  3. Mathematics

Direct Entry requirement to study Applied Microbiology & Brewing

If you don’t want to gain admission through UTME then you must ensure that you meet the requirements that will be listed below in addition to the ‘O’ Level subjects combination for Applied Microbiology and Brewing listed above:

1). ND/HND in Food Technology or Biology.

2). Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology.

3). NCE passes at merit level in Chemistry and Biology.
