Only the state of Taraba has more than 36,000 HIV-positive residents.
The implementation partners working on HIV, TB, and orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in the State were informed of this at the weekly review performance meeting over the weekend.
The State Agency for the Control of Aids, a department of the State government, has pledged to eradicate the virus from the State by the year 2030.
At the time of filing this report, 36,396 persons living with Human Immunodeficiency viruses (HIV) in Taraba State, were said to be currently under a regular treatment in State.
Out of this number on treatment, 20,200 are said to be virally suppressed.
